If you worked past age 65, you may only have Part A on your Medicare Health Insurance card. It is important that your first step is to contact Social Security to get your Medicare Part B started. You do so by, enroll online at www.SSA.gov or calling social security directly at 1-800-772-1213 or reaching out to your nearest Social Security office.
Social Security will typically provide you with two forms that needs attention. One is your request when you wish your Part B to start. The second is a form that your employer needs to fill out to show proof of health coverage and when your existing employer coverage will end.
